Episode 227 | When Siblings Blame-Shift

Do your kids often blame one another rather than taking responsibility for their own actions? Do you find it challenging to determine which child to believe or who’s at fault when it’s one sibling’s word against the other? Would you like to help your children understand the spiritual importance of admitting wrong and confessing sin? Join Alex and me as we discuss how we can help our children evaluate their own hearts without making accusations by asking heart-probing questions and taking them to the Word of God.

We have a brand new episode of the Parenting with Ginger Hubbard podcast available today. Here’s a little more about what you can expect:

Episode 227 | When Siblings Blame-Shift: At the heart of blame-shifting is a prideful unwillingness to confess that we are imperfect sinners, which is dangerous territory for God’s children. We have to be willing to take time to train our children in righteousness instead of just rebuking or punishing them for wrong. We can guide our children away from blame-shifting and towards turning to Jesus in confession and repentance. Once they embrace the faithfulness and goodness of God towards repentant sinners, they will understand and appreciate that where sin abounds, grace abounds all the more.
